Booked and bougie! Star Trek Discovery has been picked up for a second season by CBS! CBS and the official Star Trek site announced today

“In just six episodes, Star Trek: Discovery has driven subscriber growth, critical acclaim and huge global fan interest for the first premium version of this great franchise,” said Marc DeBevoise, President and Chief Operating Officer, CBS Interactive, referring to the fact that Discovery set new CBS All Access records for subscriber sign-ups in a single day, week and month. “This series has a remarkable creative team and cast who have demonstrated their ability to carry on the Star Trek legacy. Since her departure on The Walking Dead, Sonequa Martin-Green has been killing it in her role as Michael Burnham on the hit series. Making history as the first black female lead in Star Trek history. Sonequa is out here representing all the blerds in Sci-fi media, and we couldn’t be prouder!

Star Trek: Discovery will air in two chapters. You can catch up on the series as episodes are available on CBS All Access, before the final episode of chapter one on November 12. The second chapter featuring the remaining six episodes will air January 2018.
