Earlier this afternoon Nintendo swept the Internet with another Nintendo Direct. This is the first Nintendo Direct since the passing of former president Satoru Iwata. A lot of Nintendo fans were anticipating the live-stream ,and the announcements regarding games set to be released next year. New Challenger Approaches: Cloud of Final Fantasy VII new character in Super Smash Bros


For a while now fans have been hinting the idea of Cloud being playable character in Smash. Nintendo has heard your plea. Cloud is joining Smash bros on both the Wii U and 3DS. Not only will you be able to  play as cloud, it includes summons and a new
stage setting in Midgar. Different skins for the character are also available. You can play as classic FFVII and  Advent Children Cloud. There is no set date on when Cloud will be available to use.

Hyrule Warriors 3DS: Female Link, Linkle


Whether it’s fan art images or fan fiction, this has been something that has been floating around in the LoZ community for a long time. It’s finally canon.


Hyrule Warriors Legends was announced earlier this year at E3, Nintendo has unveiled that Hyrule Warriors Legends for the 3DS will also include a playable female version of Link named Linkle. The character appeared in the art book release of Hyrule Warriors last year, but is now confirmed as an official character. She will wield a pair of crossbows as her main weapons.

Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD


Although most were already aware of the news of a Twilight Princess remake, Nintendo confirmed that they will be releasing an HD remake for the game on the Wii U. Not only is the game getting a graphics update, it will include a wolf link and Midna Amiibo.

North American Nintendo President Reggie Fils- Aime hinted the amiibo will be able to be used in the upcoming Zelda Wii U game. Twilight Princess is set to be released March 4, 2016. Later that year we can also expect the Release of Zelda Wii U. 2016 is going to be an exciting year for Zelda fans.

Fire Emblem: Fates


Nintendo revealed an interesting twist regarding the new Fire Emblem game. The game is not 1, but 3 games. Fates will consist of Birthright and Conquest, followed by Revelation as a DLC. The DLC will cost 20 dollars, however fans who beat Birthright or Conquest can purchase the DLC at a discounted price. If you would rather buy all three, The bundle will be available for $80. A special edition that includes the art book, and a 3DS XL pouch will be available

Dragon Quest VII and Dragon Quest VIII: 3DS Remake


Dragon Quest fans rejoice! 3DS remakes of the two game will be released in North America. The games have been out in Japan for a while and are finally getting a US Release next year!

Star Fox Zero Release date announced


The game was originally scheduled to be released this month, however fans were disappointed when it was announced that the game would be delayed to give the team more time to work on any areas needing improvement. Fans can now rejoice, a new release date has been announced! The game will hit stores on April 22, 2016.

Pokemon Red, Blue, yellow 3DS Release

All three games will be available as digital downloads on the Nintendo eShop. There are no change or add ons to the games. The Games trading system will be updated to the wireless trading system implemented in the newer Pokemon games.

Mario and Luigi: Paper Jam


Newest addition to the platformer franchise, the game will implement the Amiibo system. Mario, Luigi, Peach, Bowser, Toad and Yoshi Amiibos will be able to be used in the game. The Amiibos will also unlock special cards you can use in the game.

Release is set for January 22, 2016
